What is Fatigue?

Fatigue is a state of feeling tired, exhausted, and drained of energy, both physically and mentally. It can significantly impact your daily life, making it difficult to concentrate, complete tasks, and enjoy activities you normally find pleasurable. While occasional fatigue is a normal response to physical exertion or lack of sleep, persistent fatigue may point to an underlying medical condition or lifestyle imbalances.

Causes of Fatigue
  • Stress: Mental and emotional stress can significantly impact energy levels.
  • Poor sleep hygiene: Inconsistent sleep patterns, inadequate sleep duration, or sleep disturbances can lead to fatigue.
  • Lack of physical activity: Regular exercise can boost energy levels, while a sedentary lifestyle can contribute to fatigue.
  • Unhealthy diet: Deficiencies in essential nutrients or excessive intake of processed foods and sugar can drain your energy.
  • Dehydration: Not drinking enough water can lead to fatigue and impair cognitive function.
